Jeremy
Jeremy is 22 years old. He is studying computer science. As many young people, he likes parties. He is interested in music; particular in house music. Ministries of sound, Queen, la Loco are his favorite clubs. Jeremy is an open-minded person and he likes technologic tools. He is working as model maker for his university newspaper and does some web design. He is single. He always organize parties, he has to be busy. As he lives in a big house in Paris, near Montmartre, he often welcomes friends who come to visit and can even stay for several days. People who always invited others are themselves often invited by others. This is true for Jeremy. He is a quality person who attracts people friendship. For Jeremy, it is not easy to know what to bring when he is invited for special events such as birthday, Christmas… He doesn’t want to pay a large amount of money for each gift but he would like to offer something personal which will be more appreciated by the person than a simple CD or book. Sarah is thirty-five years old. She is a married woman and mother of three children. She is working in a human resources department in a company based in Aachen, Germany. Sarah and her husband give a real importance in the Christmas Eve. They consider it as a family celebration for children. Every year, they have a traditional Christmas, with a Christmas tree, socks under the tree and wait with the children for the arrival of Santa Claus. For Sarah it is not so difficult to find gift for the children who easily says what they would like to ask to Santa Claus. Children are growing fast in a few years; she thinks she will have more difficulties. She is with her husband for more than ten years and she would like to be able to find original and pleasant gift for every occasion (birthday, anniversary of marriage, Christmas…). The most difficult gifts are those for her husband’s family. For her own family this is not quite easy too. She has a recomposed family with a step mother and a step father. She has never lived with both. Her parents were separated after she left home. Gisele Gisele is a 68 years old retiree. She has 15 grandchildren, three daughters, and two sons. She is using the internet only for simple tasks (eMail,..). Every year before Christmas, she is looking for so much presents. It takes her much time to choose the gifts because she has grandchildren from different ages (from 1 years old to 20) and she is not aware of the new technologies (Nintendo wii…) and interests of young people. Asking the parents were a really bad alternative. Sometimes she is a little sad during this period of time cause she is spending hours looking in the wish list of her family members and she doesn’t received gifts, which she likes. She likes travelling and visiting her family and therefore she hasn’t so much time to think about gifts. As every Grandma she spends also time on cooking for her grandchildren. Christmas has a great importance for her family. Her husband is no help for Christmas gifts, he is always wrong in guessing people desires. Every member comes to her house for Christmas Eve. This is the only time in the year that all the family is reunited. She is an expert in offering gifts. She loves the wish list application which simplified her life especially before Christmas. As additional (funny) bonus:Santa Claus Santa Claus is as old as snow. He is living in Laponia. He has plenty of gifts to make at Christmas time. He can’t disappoint people especially children who are thinking of him the entire year. He has to know what people desire and he tries to do his best to meet their expectations. Ho Ho Ho.
